Television in the UK is going Digital. This digital revolution promises to bring both the residential and commercial user more choices and a vast amount of new services. The switchover starts in 2008 and will role out, region by region; the process will be completed in 2012.
Once completed, any Television screen that is not converted to receive a digital signal will remain blank.
The Digital switchover is the biggest change to UK broadcasting since the introduction of colour Television, back in 1967. The scale and speed of the switchover is staggering with over 40 million sets still to be adapted before the 2012 deadline.
If you own or manage a property or are involved in the construction and development of either domestic or commercial properties that require a Television aerial system then you need to ensure that the building is able to receive digital.
The Digital switchover has important ramifications for both the residential and commercial sector, but it must be remembered that unless you act now to adapt your aerial systems you may be unable in future to receive a television signal.
A new product has just come on to the market which will convert Digital TV signals back to UHF Analogue, no need to change your TV's or VCR for Digital Switchover. see the New Products in the On-Line-Shop for details.
